The Early Days

Today, we’d like to share some photos from the early stages of the film’s development.

Work on the film is going well, and we thought we’d take a moment to share some new photos – taken during a research trip, before any actual production has even taken place. Producer-director Jin talks extensively with Zakii, writer and artist Anurendra Jeyadeva and cultural anthropologist Eddin Khoo (whom we’ve previously discussed) to establish key points about Zakii’s life and art. It’s the very start of the journey we’ve embarked upon.

Our film has come a long way from those humble beginnings, and as we near its completion we can’t wait to share our work with you.

That’s all from us for this year: we’ll have more site updates in 2016. Until then, we’d like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year! Be sure to follow us on social media for further updates.
